The Air Conditioning Contractors of America — National Capital Chapter (ACCA-NCC) recently elected their 2008-2009 officers and directors. Debra Risher became the first female president of the 44 year old trade association.

Risher noted, "It is an honor to be in the position of president, to be the first woman elected, and to have the opportunity to serve the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry that has been so good to me and my family."

Risher has been in the HVACR industry for over 30 years and is the owner of Belair Engineering in Mitchellville, Maryland.
